Our Story

Primary-care groups often lack the resources and system services needed to navigate a changing healthcare industry, yet large systems aren’t capable of successfully owning and managing primary care groups. In Alaska, this has been the case for decades.

Siloed care and lack of collaboration are becoming costly, causing many primary care groups to join hospital groups and give up their financial and cultural independence.

APN is a Clinically Integrated Network providing value-based contracting solutions and services to primary care groups.

Clinically integrated networks allow independent groups to provide higher quality care at a lower cost by not having the same antitrust issues that exist outside of these networks.

As part of a clinically integrated network, groups can benefit from shared analytic tools, best practices, technology, resources, larger system services, and jointly contract for value. They can also access system-wide data and analytics thanks to an in-house developed, centralized electronic platform with HIPAA HITRUST compliance. Each healthcare and medical business can also maintain its cultural and financial independence.
